He uses it to make Kogami and Masaoka turn against each other, causing them to fight one another. They manage to shake off the effects of Mido's ability, but Mido takes advantage of their temporary distraction to escape.

After the mission, the team discovers that Mido had installed a virus in their communication systems, allowing him to eavesdrop on their conversations. However, Inspector Tsunemori realizes that Mido's actions were not motivated by personal gain or ambition, but by a desire to expose flaws in the Sibyl System. She comes to the conclusion that Mido's actions were justified and that they should try to find a way to work with him to improve the system.

The episode ends with Inspector Tsunemori and Mido's conversation through a video call. Mido offers his help to the team, saying that he wants to help make the world a better place.
