Superman is the third animated series featuring the Man of Steel. Produced by Ruby-Spears, the show aired Saturday mornings on the CBS television network in 1988. The series is the first one to be based in the post-Crisis on Infinite Crisis universe created by DC Comics. 13 episodes of the Ruby-Spears Superman were created, with each of them ending with a look back at Superman as an infant. The series was not renewed for the 1989 season.
