Rudy Maxa's Travel is a documentary that takes a journalistic view of cities, towns and tourist attractions throughout the world. The show follows Rudy Maxa as he explores and explains the history, culture and traditions within each region he encounters. Every episode takes place within a new area.

From Norway to Egypt, Rudy explains to the viewer the specific details in order to open the audience to a culture and/or setting that the audience may not have known in full detail. The show's vast scenery, accompanied at times with voice over by Rudy himself, allows the viewer to fully visualize the components of each area and transforms the viewer into a virtual tourist.

  • The Romantic Road winds through some of Germany's most picturesque countryside complete with medieval villages and Baroque Palaces. We start in Würzburg with the spectacular Baroque Bishop's Palace and taste wine at one of Würzburg's many wine festivals.

  • Irish eyes are smiling when we explore Dublin, Ireland's urban core. There's history around every corner, and Dublin delights with Trinity College, the Book of Kells, the famous Guinness Brewery, and the infamous Kilmainham jail.

  • Shop for Irish crystal in Galway. Explore a Stone Age fort on the Aran Islands. Attend a medieval banquet at Bunratty Castle. Visit a Muckross country manor. And, tour the stunning Dingle Peninsula.

  • A key attraction of travel in Europe is that 30 minutes outside of any city there lurks a getaway, a quiet spot to catch one's breath. In this program, we explore a few such magic places.

  • Travelers adore Italy, and Italy adores the Renaissance. In this half-hour, we follow Western Europe's transition from medieval to modern times by exploring the arts and ambiance of that vibrant period.

  • Ancient Greek and Roman remnants are more than cold stone, they hold centuries of stories. Revisit favorite and magical classical sites around the Mediterranean, including Athens, Delphi, Delos, Paestum, Syracuse, Pompeii, Rome, and Provence.

  • We wind our way across this largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Once the hub of the ancient world, Sicily offers up a vibrant, sun-soaked brew of history, tradition and intense cultural pride.

  • Sun-drenched, upscale and exotic, Santorini sits on the rim of an ancient, but still active, volcano. At one end of the island, the archeological site at Akrotiri uncovers a city frozen in time by the volcano's eruption 3,600 years ago.

  • Rudy takes a pilgrimage to the famed Oracle of Delphi, and visits a beautiful medieval monastery. On the Peloponnesian Peninsula, scope out Nafplion's charming port, and visit the epic ruins of King Agamemnon in the ancient capital of Mycenae.
