Ep 3. Going Into Battle

In Rust Valley Restorers season 1 episode 3, titled "Going into Battle," the team faces their biggest challenge yet. They need to replace the entire bed, and the frame and suspension also need to be restored. But the team is determined to get the job done, and they work tirelessly to get the truck back into shape.

Meanwhile, Avery is tasked with restoring an old Mercury Cougar for a client. The car has been sitting in a field for decades, and it's covered in rust and dirt. Avery quickly gets to work, and he manages to remove the grime and uncover the beauty of the car.

But the Cougar poses some unique challenges of its own. The car's brakes and suspension are shot, and the engine needs a complete overhaul. Avery has his work cut out for him, but he's determined to get the car running in time for the client's deadline.

The episode also features Mike tackling a project of his own. He discovers an old abandoned vehicle in the woods that he thinks has potential, but it's in bad shape. The team takes on the challenge, and they start to restore the car. But there are problems at every turn, and it seems like the car might be beyond saving.

Despite the challenges, the Rust Valley Restorers team perseveres and manages to restore all three vehicles by the end of the episode. The 1958 Chevrolet Apache Cameo, in particular, becomes a labor of love for the team, and they are proud of the final product.
