Ep 2. Yet Another Cherry Blossom Color/After School With Harry-Chan

As the second episode of Sakura Trick begins, viewers find the series’ main duo, Haruka and Yuu, excitedly chatting during class. Haruka is over the moon that both she and Yuu will be attending the same high school, and the two are quick to start planning their school life together. Though they’re initially disappointed with their class assignments, they’re able to cheer themselves up by going for a walk and admiring the cherry blossoms, still in bloom.

Once school is out for the day, Haruka and Yuu head over to the Amusement Club, where they spend time with their clubmates Kotone and Shizuku. After a brief conversation about the weather, Haruka and Yuu lament the fact that they have to leave soon, but the group ultimately decides to stick around to hang out until they’re forced to leave. They play games, chat, and generally have a great time together.

Eventually, Haruka and Yuu are the only ones left behind in the clubroom. Though they try to pack up, they quickly get distracted and start talking about their shared love of cherry blossoms. After Yuu laments that they only bloom for such a short time each year, she suggests that they make the most of the season by finding different cherry blossom colors to admire and enjoy. They’re both excited by the idea and decide to go on a hunt the next day.

The next day, Haruka and Yuu are eager to start their search, but they quickly realize that they have no idea what different cherry blossom colors even look like. Naturally, they turn to the internet for help. The pair spends the day learning about the different colors that cherry blossoms can come in, and they even find a rare blue-pink hybrid online that they’re especially excited about. As they continue to search, they run into their clubmates Kotone and Shizuku, who join them in their search.

Together, the group continues looking for different cherry blossom colors, and they discover a beautiful tree with blossoms that are a bit darker than the typical pink. They all agree that it’s a gorgeous color and decide to sit and look at the tree for a while. As they do, they notice that a boy has been watching them from afar. The boy introduces himself as Harry, a student from the art club, and the group excitedly invites him to hang out with them.

The group heads back to the Amusement Club and spends the rest of the afternoon playing games and chatting. Harry is particularly charmed by Yuu and the two of them quickly become friends. As the sun begins to set and the clubroom starts to get darker, the group begins to pack up. As they do, Harry offers to stay and help, and Yuu sticks around with him to finish putting things away.

The two of them end up having a really nice conversation together. They chat about all sorts of things, including their shared love of cherry blossoms. Harry even offers to draw Yuu a picture of the blue-pink hybrid cherry blossom they were talking about earlier. Though Yuu initially protests, she eventually agrees to let him and is thrilled when she sees the finished product.

In the end, Haruka and Yuu head home feeling content and happy after another great day spent with their friends. As the episode draws to a close, the two of them sit side by side, watching the cherry blossoms outside their window sway in the breeze. They talk long into the night, and the episode ends with a sense of warm contentment and friendship.
