Ep 4. Marine Salvage

In season 9, episode 4 of Salvage Dawgs titled "Marine Salvage," the crew heads to Baltimore, MD to salvage items from a former marine facility. The team, consisting of members Robert, Mike, Grayson, Tay, and Ted, begin by exploring a building filled with marine artifacts. They find items such as a model seaplane, a vintage ship's telegraph, and a large wooden steering wheel from a ship. The team is intrigued by the steering wheel and discovers that it is from a World War II-era ship.

Next, the team heads to a nearby warehouse where they find several large pieces of equipment. They come across a huge pipe bender and an industrial-sized lathe that they plan to take back to their shop to restore and sell. Additionally, they uncover several large metal tanks which they plan to use for their salvage yard. The items are lifted out of the warehouse and loaded onto their truck with the help of a forklift and some muscle power.

The crew then moves on to a nearby dock where they discover some additional marine-themed items. They find a large bollard, used to secure ships when they're docked, and a vintage anchor from a ship. They also find a set of stairs made from wood and steel, which they plan to repurpose in their shop.

Lastly, the team visits a marine salvage yard where they discover a massive ship's anchor chain. The chain is nearly 100 feet long and weighs over 10,000 pounds. It takes the entire team to lift the chain off the ground and onto their truck, where they secure it for the trip back to their shop.

As always, the Salvage Dawgs team faces challenges along the way. They must navigate narrow pathways, climb ladders, and maneuver heavy equipment amidst crowded spaces. But with each challenge, they work together to succeed and come away with a fascinating collection of unique items.

Viewers are treated to glimpses of the team's camaraderie and their passion for finding and rescuing historic items. They also learn about the history and significance of the items they find, adding an educational element to the show. By the end of the episode, the Salvage Dawgs team has salvaged an impressive collection of variedmarine goods which will be sorted, cleaned, repaired, and repurposed or sold by the crew.
