Detective Grace Hanadarko is back in the third episode of Saving Grace. This episode, titled Bless Me, Father, for I Have Sinned, begins with Grace attending confession at a Catholic Church. She confesses to stealing evidence from a crime scene, and committing other sins. The priest, Father Beau, tells her to say ten Hail Marys and ten Our Fathers as her penance. However, Grace feels that the punishment is too light for her sins.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Police Department is investigating a series of murders involving teenage girls. The investigation is led by ADA Leon Cooley and Detective Bobby Stillwater. Grace is not assigned to the case, but she becomes involved after a girl she knows is abducted. She tracks down the perpetrator and manages to rescue the victim, but the perpetrator gets away. Grace is traumatized by the experience and is determined to catch the perpetrator.

Grace is surprised to learn that the perpetrator is a priest named Father Eddie, who has been raping and murdering teenage girls for years. The Catholic Church has been covering up Father Eddie's crimes, and Grace is disgusted by their complicity. She decides to take matters into her own hands and bring Father Eddie to justice, even if it means going against the Church.

In the meantime, Grace is dealing with personal issues. Her sister, Rhetta, is still struggling with her recovery from drug addiction, and Grace's mother is ill. Grace also has a complicated relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Ham, who is a fellow detective. Ham is jealous of Grace's relationship with Father Beau, and they argue about Grace's involvement in the case.

Throughout the episode, Grace grapples with her faith and her job. She is conflicted about turning in Father Eddie, as the Church has been a source of comfort for her in the past. She also struggles with her feelings for Father Beau, who she believes can offer her redemption. However, Grace ultimately decides to do the right thing and turn in Father Eddie.

Bless Me, Father, for I Have Sinned deals with heavy themes such as sexual abuse, murder, and corruption. The episode does not shy away from the difficult subject matter and presents it in a thought-provoking manner. However, it also manages to balance the seriousness of the case with Grace's personal life. The show does an excellent job of delving into Grace's character, showcasing her vulnerabilities and her strengths. The acting is superb, with Holly Hunter delivering a moving performance as Grace.

Overall, Bless Me, Father, for I Have Sinned is a compelling and engaging episode of Saving Grace. It tackles difficult subject matter with sensitivity and depth, while also exploring Grace's character and personal life. It is a must-watch for fans of the show and those interested in crime dramas.
