Crisis is an American drama television series that was premiered on NBC in 2014. The show revolves around a group of students from an elite Washington DC school, the Ballard High School, who are taken as hostages along with some of their teachers and their families during a field trip.

The series stars Lance Gross as Marcus Finley, a former FBI agent who becomes one of the hostages on the bus alongside his sister, an FBI administrator who is also a hostage. Rachael Taylor plays FBI Special Agent Susie Dunn, one of the lead negotiators, who is responsible for handling the abduction case.

Gillian Anderson plays Meg Fitch, a billionaire CEO whose daughter Amber (Halston Sage) is one of the hostages on the bus. Michael Beach is FBI Director Olsen, who is in charge of the crisis response team of which Susie and Marcus are a part of.

Dermot Mulroney plays Francis Gibson, a father whose daughter is also kidnapped and he is forced to work with the kidnappers. Max Martini and James Lafferty play Secret Service agents who are assigned to protect the president's son who is also on the bus.

In addition to the adult characters, the series also focuses on the teenagers who are kidnapped, including Amber Fitch, who is described as "the perfect girl-next-door" with a dark secret, and Beth Ann Gibson (Stevie Lynn Jones), the daughter of Francis Gibson who is struggling with drug addiction.

Throughout the series, the kidnappers make several demands in exchange for the hostages' safe release, including the release of a prisoner, the freezing of a military program, and the delivery of a mysterious object known as "The Mastermind". The negotiation team must navigate through these demands while also piecing together the motives behind the kidnapping, and the connection between the various hostages on the bus.

The show received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the performances of the actors, while others felt that the plot was convoluted and that the show was trying too hard to be an action-packed thriller. The ratings for the series were also average, leading to its cancellation after one season with several unanswered questions.

Overall, Crisis is an intense drama that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats with its twists and turns. The show combines suspense, action, and drama into an engrossing watch that will keep you guessing until the final episode.

Crisis is a series that is currently running and has 1 seasons (13 episodes). The series first aired on March 16, 2014.
