After the president stops by FBI headquarters, Olsen permits Dunn and Finley to share their theories with him.

Dunn and Finley are being pulled in two directions simultaneously. Gibson is expecting them to turn over Clarenbach as per their deal. The CIA's Smith has taken Dunn's sister, Meg Fitch, prisoner and will kill her unless they turn Clarenbach over to him. They finally learn that Gibson is behind the kidnapping scheme. Dunn goes looking for her sister and turns to her boss for help. Finley takes Clarenbach to FBI headquarters and shows him some of the information they have. He recognizes the kidnap house from a drawing and knows where it is. He wants a deal before he reveals anything. Gibson meanwhile has contacted one of the parents, Jakob Vries, and sends him after Clarenbach.

Finley and Dunn get to speak directly with the kidnapper. Widener and TJS work together to try and eliminate former associate Gibson.

Finely and Dunn use a CIA file to try to get the kidnappers out of hiding. Beth Ann worries about Kyle as he tries to find a way to escape.

Gibson uses his wife Janice to get intel on the CIA's secret soldier program.

As Finley and Dunn delve deeper into the backgrounds of the parents, three of the parents must steal a key piece of the mastermind's puzzle from the CIA. At the mansion, Amber gains the unwanted attention of one of her captors.

After Finley and Dunn meet with the President and First Lady, they realize the Chief of Staff is the next parent sent on a dangerous mission to save his child. At the mansion, the mastermind proves a point to the hostages.

After a mysterious phone call, Meg Fitch is desperate to fill a ransom in order to get her daughter Amber back safely. Meanwhile, the Pakistani Ambassador must consider the unthinkable to get his son back. Dunn and Finley begin working together to track down the whereabouts of a missing secret service agent and make a shocking discovery.

In the series premiere, the high-school students and their chaperones of Washington D.C.'s elite are taken hostage during a field trip.
