Olivia Pope's life is in danger, and she's on the run. "Run," the tenth episode of Scandal's fourth season, sees the former White House Communications Director as a fugitive, hiding from the law and fighting for her life.
The episode opens with Olivia frantically packing a bag, her face etched in panic and fear. She's on the phone, explaining the situation to someone on the other end, and we can hear the urgency in her voice. "They're coming for me," she says. "I need to leave. Now."
As she hurries through her apartment, we see flashbacks to what led to her current predicament. Olivia had been running her father's operation, B613, but when the President found out about it, he shut it down. Olivia was left powerless and exposed, and her father, Rowan, vowed revenge.
Back in the present, Olivia is out on the streets, hiding in plain sight. She tries to blend in with the crowds, but she knows that the police could be looking for her. There's a price on her head, and she has to keep moving.
Meanwhile, Olivia's team back in D.C. is frantically trying to piece together what happened. They know that Olivia is in danger, but they don't know where she is or who to trust. Huck and Quinn are tasked with finding Olivia's ex-boyfriend, Senator Edison Davis, to see if he knows anything.
As Olivia makes her way through the city, she encounters a series of strangers who help her out in surprising ways. First, a woman lets her use her phone to make a call, then a man offers her a ride, and finally, a little girl gives her a hat to cover her hair. Each encounter is tense and fraught with danger, but Olivia manages to keep her wits about her and survive.
Back in D.C., Huck and Quinn manage to track down Edison Davis, but he's not exactly forthcoming with information. He tells them that he hasn't spoken to Olivia in months and that he has no idea where she might be. Huck, however, isn't convinced. He knows that Davis has a history of lying and suspects that he might be involved in Olivia's disappearance.
As the episode progresses, we see Olivia become more and more desperate. She's running out of options and doesn't know who to turn to. She has a few close calls with the police and narrowly avoids being caught. It's a tense and thrilling chase, and we're right there with her the whole time.
Eventually, Olivia makes her way to the last place we would expect her to go: her father's house. Rowan has been doing everything in his power to track Olivia down, and he's the one behind the order to have her killed. But when Olivia shows up on his doorstep, he's taken aback. He didn't expect her to come to him for help.
The final moments of the episode are tense and full of suspense. We see Olivia and Rowan sitting across from each other, locked in a battle of wills. They both know what's at stake, and they both have their own agenda. It's a powerful scene, and we're left wondering what will happen next.
Overall, "Run" is a thrilling episode of Scandal that keeps us on the edge of our seats. It's an intense and emotional ride, and it's a testament to the strength of Olivia's character that she's able to survive and fight back against all odds. It's an episode that will leave you breathless and wanting more.
