Watch SCB30: Holyfield Cruiserweight Champion

Evander Holyfield is a former professional boxer. Holyfield held the world championship in both cruiserweight as well as heavyweight divisions. Evander Holyfield was sometimes called “The Real Deal” due to his exceptional talent within the boxing arena.

Holyfield is the only four time world heavyweight champion. Holyfield won the Bronze medal in the 1984 light heavyweight division at the summer olympics. Winning this Bronze medal for recognition of his talents ultimately led to his success as a boxer.

Holyfield also won victories over George Forman and Larry Holmes. Due to injury and a very fulfulling career Evander Holyfield elected to retire in 1993. However, he decided to return to boxing in 1994.

Hoyfield defeated Mike Tyson in 1996. This particuar fight was close but Holyfield came out the winner. In 1997 a frustrated Tyson ended up biting off a part of Holyfield’s ear during a frustrating fight between the two professionals. Tyson of course was disquaified due to his actions.

In 2014 Holyfield finally hung up his hat and retired from boxing altogether. His professional record states that Holyfield has a total of 44 wins throughout his boxing career.
