Ep 7. The Barbecue

In Schitt's Creek season 4 episode 7, titled "The Barbecue," the Rose family attempts to throw a barbecue for their new friends in town. As usual, things don't go as planned and a series of mishaps occur throughout the episode.

Johnny and Moira are determined to make a good impression on their new acquaintances, so they enlist the help of David and Alexis in preparing for the event. David is tasked with making the food and is initially confident in his abilities, but things quickly spiral out of control when he realizes he may have bitten off more than he can chew. Meanwhile, Alexis tries to put together a playlist for the party, but struggles to find the perfect songs to set the right mood.

As the party gets underway, tensions begin to rise as various conflicts arise between the guests. David becomes increasingly stressed as he struggles to keep up with the demands of cooking for everyone, and Moira deals with a wardrobe malfunction that threatens to ruin her otherwise perfect outfit. Adding to the chaos, a surprise guest shows up uninvited and throws a wrench in the proceedings.

Despite the many obstacles they face, the Rose family and their friends manage to come together and make the best of a difficult situation. As the night wears on, they share stories, laughter, and plenty of good food and drink. Though not everything goes as planned, the barbecue ultimately proves to be a success, and the Rose family realizes that they are starting to feel more at home in Schitt's Creek than they ever thought possible.
