Watch Mercy Street

Alexandria, Virginia, 1862 was a cusp town between North and South during one of the most devastating wars in our nation's history, the American Civil War. Mercy Street is a new series, taking place in this chaotic time period, where brothers fought on opposite sides of the line, and families were divided forever.

Going beyond the battlefield, the story is centered around Mansion House, a home turned hospital, where the lives of a coquettish Southern belle and a stiff Northern abolitionist collide. Filled with heart wrenching truths about our Civil War, this series is based on actual events and brings us closer to understanding the life lived by our ancestors.

This is not a series about battles, military strategy nor glory but brings forth all the human emotions of the time from hope to fear, love to hate, laughter to tears and everything in between. 1862 Alexandria is a town seething under martial law, with soldiers, gentry, slaves, doctors, nurses, prostitutes, wounded and scoundrels from both sides of the fighting lines.
