Ep 8. Jingle Bell Rock

In School of Rock season 3 episode 8, titled "Jingle Bell Rock," it's Christmastime and the students of William B. Travis Prep School are getting into the holiday spirit. Principal Mullins announces that the school will be hosting a winter talent show and encourages the students to sign up. However, when they realize that the cash prize for the winner is only $200, they're less enthusiastic.

At the same time, the School of Rock band is struggling to come up with a new original song for the talent show. They've been busy with gigs and haven't had much time to write anything new. Zack suggests that they try writing a Christmas-themed song, but Tomika thinks it's too cliche.

Meanwhile, Freddie is excited about the talent show and wants to perform a magic trick. However, he can't seem to get it right and keeps messing up in rehearsal. Summer encourages him to keep practicing and reminds him that the show must go on.

On the day of the talent show, the School of Rock band is surprised to see that their rival band, Justin's X-perience, has also entered the competition. They're worried that they won't stand a chance against them, especially since their original song isn't ready yet.

As the talent show gets underway, the acts are a mix of impressive and cringe-worthy. One student sings off-key, Freddie's magic trick goes horribly wrong, and Justin's X-perience rocks the stage with their groovy performance. The School of Rock band is up next, but they don't have a song to perform. Just as they're about to give up, they hear the jingling of bells in the hallway.

The band rushes out to investigate and finds a group of carolers singing "Jingle Bell Rock." They're struck by inspiration and come up with a new arrangement of the classic Christmas song. With the help of Lawrence's beatboxing skills, they perform their festive version of "Jingle Bell Rock" to thunderous applause.

In the end, the winner of the talent show is announced and it's a surprising result that leaves both bands feeling a mix of emotions. The students of William B. Travis Prep School show that even with a small cash prize at stake, the power of music and the holiday spirit can triumph over all.
