On the other hand, Elliot is assigned a patient who is known for ruining other doctors' careers and stealing medication from the hospital. She tries to help him by referring him to a rehabilitation center, even though she is afraid of ruining her career.

Dr. Cox starts to believe that his own son is not living up to his potential and becomes a helicopter parent. He worries that his son will be "average," neglecting the fact that he is only a toddler.
In addition to this, Carla is having a hard time deciding if she wants to have another baby. She is considering it because she thinks her daughter needs a sibling, but she is also afraid of changing the dynamic of her family.
