After discovering the shocking truth about Chantal, the group tries to process their emotions in "Search Party" season 2 episode 8, titled "Hysteria."
Dory (Alia Shawkat) is struggling to come to terms with the fact that her friend Chantal (Clare McNulty) was never actually missing. She is haunted by the lies and deception that surrounded the whole search effort, and can't seem to shake the feeling of betrayal.
Meanwhile, Drew (John Reynolds) is grappling with his own guilt over his role in the cover up. He confides in Elliott (John Early), revealing the true extent of his involvement and pleading for his help.
Portia (Meredith Hagner) is also struggling with her own identity crisis. She begins to question her motivations for joining the search party in the first place, and wonders if she truly belongs among the group.
As tensions rise and emotions run high, the characters are forced to confront their own feelings of hysteria. The episode takes a dark turn as the group's collective trauma starts to manifest in frightening ways.
