Southern Fried Stings is a television show that follows a team of former police officers who take jobs from clients to perform sting operations. The team leaders, Jay Russell and England Simpson, recruit several specialists onto their team depending on the type of sting they are using and begin their investigation. The show often begins with Jay and England meeting with their clients at their homes or businesses. Some clients want the team to investigate thefts that occurred on their business properties. On other occasions, the team is hired to investigate personal matters like cheating husbands or a family member's suspicious activities. The team also investigates criminal matters like fraud schemes and drug operations. After the team receives their case, they set up their sting operation and get to work. The team utilizes different undercover techniques while trying to get to the bottom of the case. There are times where they hide in the woods or crouch in their vehicles looking at individuals with binoculars. On some occasions, the team infiltrates the gang. There have been occurrences where the team has been beaten or had guns pulled on them. However, they are always well prepared for these instances and always gain control of the situation. Jay and England frequently take on cases where there is more to the story than meets the eye. In cases of theft, the team has discovered that someone very close to the client has been perpetrating the act. In drug organizations, the team often uncovers a very elaborate scheme the dealers have been using to transport the drugs. The personal cases tend to end in a bizarre manner with the family member engaged in some taboo action or they were cheating with someone very close to the client. Jay and England often claim that the job does not always prepare them for what they are going to see. There are a lot of strange cases the team has accepted and the show often proves that each case is more bizarre than the last one.
