Lena is a working mother of three kids who decided to divorce her husband, Martin. However, instead of separating completely, they came up with an unusual arrangement - they split up their house in two and take turns living with the children in each half. In this episode, titled "Soup's Jealous," the splitting up couple deals with the challenges of parenting separately but staying close.

The episode starts with Lena and Martin dealing with their son, Mason, who refuses to eat anything but his favorite soup. However, when Martin starts cooking his version of Mason's favorite soup, Lena becomes suspicious of his motives and thinks he's trying to one-up her by making a better soup. Things get wild, of course, as one could expect from a comedy show.

Meanwhile, Lena's sister Maya, who is staying with her family for a while, decides to take over the babysitting duties and offers to take the kids to a food festival. This leads to a hilarious scene where Martin and Lena try to outdo each other by making soups to sell at the festival. However, things take a turn for the worse when the soups get mixed up and the kids start getting sick.

While all this is happening, Lena's co-worker Camille confesses that she has developed feelings for her. Lena, being the good person that she is, talks to Camille and tries to make her understand that her love is unrequited. This situation leads her to question whether or not she's ready to start dating again.

The episode ends with the family coming together to take care of each other and to deal with the after-effects of the soup festival disaster. Lena and Martin have a heart-to-heart talk and try to sort out their feelings for each other, while the kids deal with the fact that their parents aren't together anymore.

Overall, Splitting Up Together season 1 episode 4 is a fun and light-hearted episode that highlights the challenges of co-parenting while dealing with the emotional baggage of a failed marriage. The show manages to balance humor and heart-warming moments perfectly, and the characters are relatable and endearing. If you're looking for a feel-good show to watch, Splitting Up Together is definitely worth checking out.
