On the USS Discovery, Ensign Spock is attempting to piece together a broken console, his frustration growing with each failed attempt. His coworker, Lt. Connolly, tries to offer some assistance but instead ends up irritating Spock further. As the two argue, they are interrupted by a sudden transportation.

Transported onto a shuttle, Spock finds himself face-to-face with Number One, the ship's first officer. Number One has been tasked with escorting Spock to a Starbase for a mission, and the two quickly set off on their journey. However, their shuttle ride is far from smooth sailing.

With the shuttle's computer on the fritz, Number One and Spock are forced to work together to try and repair it. Tensions run high as Spock struggles to keep his emotions in check, and Number One tries to get him to open up. As the two work, they begin to learn more about each other - Number One shares stories of her past experiences, while Spock discusses his unique upbringing.

Eventually, the shuttle's computer is restored, and the two arrive at their destination. However, their conversation is not over yet, as Number One has several more questions for the enigmatic Spock. In a heartwarming moment, Spock finally opens up to her, and the two share a moment of connection before parting ways.

"Q&A" is a charming episode that explores the complex relationship between two of Star Trek's most beloved characters. With excellent performances from Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck, the episode is a must-watch for fans of Star Trek: Discovery.
