Tom tries to convince Star to join him in his quest for power, but Star refuses, and a battle ensues.

In the midst of the battle, the mysterious orb that Marco found earlier comes into play, and it is revealed to be a powerful artifact that can absorb magic. Star and her team work together to weaken Tom's powers and ultimately destroy the Bogbeast. Tom, realizing the error of his ways, relinquishes his dark magic powers and helps Star and her team repair the damage done to the village.

In the end, the team bids farewell to their new Boggan friends and Tom, who has decided to stay on the planet to help rebuild and make amends for his actions. Star and her friends return home, grateful for another successful mission.
