She attends a fashion show and sees firsthand how this trend has taken over the city's youth culture.

Gates also spends time with a group of indigenous women who are fighting to preserve their traditional clothing and culture in the face of globalization. She meets with one woman who is teaching young girls how to weave and embroider in the hope of passing down their heritage to future generations.

Throughout the episode, Gates delves into the social and political issues that affect these diverse subcultures in Mexico City. She examines how these communities are using fashion, art, and spirituality to express themselves and resist cultural assimilation.
