Ep 1. Meet the New Boss

When we last saw the Winchester brothers at the end of season six, they were facing the ultimate showdown with the mother of all monsters. The season 7 opener of Supernatural is appropriately titled "Meet the New Boss," and it picks up where season 6 left off. Dean and Sam have been summoned by an apocalyptic Cas, and they're anxious to find out what he's got up his sleeve. But before they can get very far, everything starts to unravel.

In the beginning of the episode, Cas appears to be channeling his inner deity and he starts doling out justice like it's a game. He's declared himself the new God and has all the power that comes with it. This newfound power has gone straight to his head, and he's not afraid to use it. As the brothers try to reason with him, they quickly realize that the Cas they always knew is gone, and he's been replaced by something much darker.

While the boys work to come up with a plan to stop Cas, they also need to figure out how to save Bobby's soul from the demon he made a deal with. Meanwhile, Kevin and his mother are hiding out from Crowley, who's still on the hunt for the tablet that contains the word of God. Just when you think things can't get any worse, the Leviathans start wreaking havoc on the world.

Despite the chaos going on, there are some humorous moments in "Meet the New Boss." Dean and Sam's relationship continues to be a highlight of the show, and the brothers have some witty banter that fans will love. There's also a funny scene involving Bobby, who's taken on a new form in order to communicate with the boys.

As always, the special effects and action sequences are impressive in this episode. The Leviathans make for creepy, formidable villains, and we see some intense battles between them and the Winchesters. There's also some tension between the brothers, as Sam starts to remember some things about his time spent in the cage with Lucifer.

While "Meet the New Boss" may not be the best episode of Supernatural, it's a solid start to the season. It sets up several plotlines that will be explored throughout the season, and it introduces some new characters that will play important roles. Fans of the show won't be disappointed by the action, humor, and drama that this episode delivers.
