Ep 1. Series 2, Episode 1

The show Survivors follows a group of people who are struggling to survive and rebuild society after a deadly virus has wiped out most of the world's population. In season 2 episode 1, titled "Series 2, Episode 1," we are re-introduced to the main characters who survived season 1. Abby, the main protagonist, is now living with a community of survivors in an abandoned university campus, while Greg is exploring the countryside with his new partner, Anya. Meanwhile, Tom is still trying to find his way back to Abby and the group.

The episode starts with Abby and her new community trying to farm and build a sustainable life for themselves, but they are facing a dilemma: they are running out of food. Abby worries about the prospect of having to raid other survivors' camps to survive, but her leadership skills are put to the test when some members of the community demand action. Abby has to weigh the need for survival with her moral code, which dictates that they should not take more than they need.

Meanwhile, Greg and Anya stumble upon another group of survivors who have set up camp in a mansion. Initially, the groups seem to be friendly, but tensions rise when Greg discovers that they are hoarding supplies. Anya fears that this group could become a threat to them, but Greg is hesitant to take any action until he finds out more about them.

Back in the city, Tom's journey has hit a roadblock as he is unable to cross a river without a boat. He meets another survivor, Sarah, who agrees to help him cross the river in exchange for his help finding her sister. Tom agrees and the two set off on a journey to find Sarah's sister, but their mission is more perilous than they expected.

Throughout the episode, we see the characters grappling with the aftermath of the virus as they navigate a world with little infrastructure and no guarantees of survival. The show raises some important questions about what we would do in a similar situation – would we prioritize our own survival or try to rebuild a more just and equitable society? Survivors is an intense and thought-provoking show, and this episode does a great job of setting the stage for a compelling second season.
