Talk to Me is a British romantic drama focusing on the life of a womanising radio DJ called Mitch based in the English city of London. The show was created and written by Danny Brocklehurst for Company Pictures; the four episode season of Talk to Me was first broadcast on the British network ITV in 2007. The show was controversial because of its sexual content that was described as the future of the British ITV network by its then head of drama production who made this her first commission for the network. Talk to Me opens with the host of a radio talk show, Mitch living his everyday life, which consists of one long party of socialising and looking for women for brief flings. Mitch, played by Max Beesley sees his happy go lucky life as a radio host take an unexpected turn when his best friend and radio producer Woody's fiance Clare and he begin an affair. The affair begins when Woody and Clare have a large argument in the buildup to their wedding following the borth of their first son. Mitch attempts to comfort Clare, but his comfort soon turns into an on off relationship between the pair even after Woody and Clare rekindle their relationship. Clare is struggling with the guilt of having to leave her son behind as she returns to work; Mitch also begins to struggle with the guilt of the affair he knows would end his friendship with Woody. Initially, the affair continues between Mitch and Clare until as the wedding approaches Clare confesses her infidelity to Woody; heartbroken by the betrayal of his friend and fiance Woody takes his son and dissapears. The responsibility of finding Woody and making him return to Clare is left to Mitch; the problems of his life also force Mitch to change his attitude to women and his life as a whole.
