In Teen Mom season 2 episode 7, titled "Senior Prom", viewers get an intimate look at the lives of the show's cast as they begin to wind down their final high school years and prepare for the special milestone event of prom night.

The episode opens with Maci, who has returned to her hometown in Tennessee after completing her fall semester at college in Florida, discussing her plans for prom night with her friends. She reveals that she's anxious to see her former boyfriend, Ryan, whom she shares a child with. Maci admits that she's still in love with him, and worries about how she'll feel seeing him with another girl at the dance.

Meanwhile, Farrah is trying to decide whether or not she wants to attend prom. She reveals that she's been feeling a lot of anxiety lately, and has been struggling to balance her responsibilities as a mother and as a high school student. In addition to dealing with the stress of the looming dance, Farrah is feeling overwhelmed by the upcoming birth of her new baby, and worries about her ability to cope with the changes that will come with being a single mom.

As the big night approaches, viewers get a glimpse of the various preparations and rituals that go into getting ready for prom. Catelynn and her boyfriend, Tyler, go shopping for a dress and tuxedo, respectively. The couple is excited to attend prom together, and Tyler reveals that he's planning to propose to Catelynn at some point during the evening.

Amber, on the other hand, is feeling less-than-enthusiastic about prom. She's been arguing frequently with her boyfriend, Gary, and is experiencing a lot of tension with her brother, who is living with her and Gary and has been causing problems. Amber worries that her relationship with Gary is deteriorating, and she's unsure how to fix things.

Finally, the night of prom arrives, and the girls and their partners gather to take photos and get ready for the dance. Maci looks gorgeous in a sparkly, strapless dress, and Ryan seems to take notice of her as soon as he sees her. Farrah, who has decided to attend the dance after all, is feeling more confident than she has in a while, and is excited to spend time with her friends.

Catelynn and Tyler, who have been talking about getting married for a while now, are both nervous and excited for the evening to unfold. Tyler plans a romantic surprise proposal, and later in the night, gets down on one knee to ask Catelynn to marry him. She tearfully accepts, and the couple is overjoyed.

Amber, however, is having a difficult time at the dance. She and Gary fight over petty things throughout the night, and their arguments escalate to the point where Amber is in tears. She confides in her friends that she's afraid her relationship with Gary is over, and worries about how this will impact their daughter, Leah.

As the night comes to a close, the girls reflect on their prom experiences and what the future holds for them. Farrah, who has given birth to her baby since the dance, is beginning to adjust to life as a single mother and is ready to take on whatever challenges come her way. Catelynn and Tyler are excited about their engagement and what it means for their future together. Maci and Ryan, meanwhile, seem to be on the verge of reconciling their past issues and rekindling their relationship.

Overall, "Senior Prom" is a poignant and emotional episode that showcases the highs and lows of adolescence and young adulthood. Through the eyes of the Teen Mom cast, viewers get a glimpse of what it's like to experience one of the most important milestones of high school, while also grappling with the challenges of parenthood and growing up.
