The Amazing Race Season 15 Episode 9 We're Not Meant for the Swamp

The Amazing Race is an American reality television show that premiered on CBS in 2001 and has been running successfully ever since. It is a race around the world that features teams of two who compete in various challenges and tasks to move to the next level and avoid elimination.

In season 15, episode 9, titled "We're Not Meant for the Swamp," the remaining teams head to Singapore. The episode starts off with the teams in their current order: Gary and Matt, Sam and Dan, Meghan and Cheyne, Flight Time and Big Easy, and Brian and Ericka. Each team anticipates taking the lead in the race, but it's anyone's game at this point.

As the teams arrive in Singapore, they are directed to the Cable Car Museum and are required to take a ride on the cable car to Mount Faber. Once they get to the top, they must search for their next clue. The clue directs them to the world's largest fountain, the Fountain of Wealth. As they approach the fountain, they must look for their next clue in the water.

The Fountain of Wealth clue directs the teams to the Detour, "Pound the Rice" or "Find the Rooster." "Pound the Rice" requires that teams pound rice with a huge mallet to make flour, then deliver it to a cook to prepare a traditional noodle dish. In "Find the Rooster," teams must traverse a local market to find a toy rooster that is part of a Chinese New Year tradition.

As the teams start the Detour, they must also deal with Singapore's sweltering heat and humidity. Meghan and Cheyne prove to be the most efficient team, pounding the rice and cooking the noodles, while Gary and Matt struggle in the market. Meanwhile, Flight Time and Big Easy decide to switch tasks, which ends up being a good decision as they quickly find the toy rooster and move on to their next challenge.

After completing the Detour, the teams are required to take a taxi to a nearby swamp where they must wade through waist-high water to find a clue box. The clue directs them to their next location, the Esplanade Bridge. Here, they must find their next clue and complete a Roadblock. The Roadblock is to construct a scale model of the famous Merlion statue using only bamboo sticks and rubber bands.

The teams all struggle with constructing the Merlion statue, but eventually, Sam and Dan emerge as the winners of the Roadblock and take the lead. From there, they head to the Pit Stop, the Marina Barrage.

As the teams arrive at the Pit Stop, Phil Keoghan announces that Sam and Dan are the first team to arrive, winning a trip to Hawaii. Meghan and Cheyne come in second place, followed by Flight Time and Big Easy, who overcome their early struggles to finish in third. Gary and Matt come in fourth place, while Brian and Ericka are eliminated from the race.

"We're Not Meant for the Swamp" is an exciting episode, filled with challenges, twists, and unexpected turns.
