Ep 4. We Are No Longer in the Bible Belt - Leg 4 ( France to Germany)

Contestants on season 16 of The Amazing Race continue their journey in episode 4 titled "We Are No Longer in the Bible Belt - Leg 4" as they leave France and head to Germany. The episode begins with teams racing through medieval streets and completing tasks in France before flying to Hamburg, Germany.

Once in Germany, teams must navigate a challenging detour involving a German art form called Schuhplattler. This traditional folk dance involves slapping and stomping on shoes while moving to the beat of traditional music. Teams must learn and perform a routine while wearing traditional Bavarian costumes. The physical demands of the dance prove to be challenging for some teams, eventually leading to frustration and arguments.

After completing the detour, teams must make their way to the Port of Hamburg and search for the clue box before making their way to a shipping container yard. There, they find the next clue and face a roadblock challenge that requires them to identify different types of cargo containers and match them with their corresponding countries of origin.

As teams race across Germany, they face several challenges that test their strength and problem-solving skills. One team member must climb a tall ladder to retrieve a clue hanging over a crane in a shipping yard. Another team must correctly identify German beers while navigating a crowded pub.

The race to the pit stop continues with teams traveling to a castle in the town of Hofheim in Taunus. Once there, they must climb to the top of the castle tower and grab a flag before making their way to the final pit stop.

The intense competition continues in "We Are No Longer in the Bible Belt - Leg 4" as teams face multiple challenges and obstacles in Germany. With the stakes high, tensions run even higher as the contestants race to the finish line.
