Ep 3. Like James Bond Again

The Amazing Race season 22 episode 3 is titled Like James Bond Again and begins with the nine remaining teams leaving the pitstop in Bora Bora and setting off on the next leg of the race to New Zealand. The teams are visibly excited as they board a plane to their next destination.

As soon as they land, they are faced with their first challenge. The teams must bungee jump off of Auckland's iconic Sky Tower and retrieve their next clue from a platform suspended 192 meters above the ground. The task is not as easy as it sounds, with several contestants hesitant to jump off the tower. But eventually, all the teams succeed in completing the challenge.

After retrieving the next clue, the teams must make their way to a nearby speedway, where they must choose a car and complete a James Bond-inspired driving challenge. In this task, one team member has to drive the car through a course filled with obstacles and challenges, while the other team member provides verbal cues from a distance. The thrilling challenge sees some teams excel while others struggle to complete it.

From the speedway, the teams must head to the next location, a vineyard in Marlborough, where they will find their next clue. The Clue Box is located in a giant field, filled with grapevines, and the task requires the contestants to search for a bottle of wine with a clue hidden inside. This challenge, though it sounds simple, proved to be quite challenging for some teams.

The clues leading to the next location required teams to use their problem-solving skills. They must figure out that their next destination is the Moeraki Boulders, located on the east coast of the South Island. Here, they'll find a Roadblock challenge that requires one team member to dress up like a giant kiwi bird and dig through a giant pile of sand to find a clue box. Again, some teams breeze through the task, while others struggle.

From the boulders, the teams head to the Pit Stop, which is located at a scenic tourist attraction in Christchurch. The first team to arrive at the Pit Stop wins a cash prize, and the two teams that arrive last face elimination.

Like James Bond Again is an action-packed episode, showcasing the adventurous spirit of the show's contestants. It also highlights the stunning New Zealand scenery, from vineyards and beaches to jaw-dropping mountains and lakes. Viewers won't be disappointed with the adrenaline-fueled tasks and stunning landscapes.
