Ep 9. Why Did You Have to Take Your Pants Off?! (1)

In The Amazing Race season 3 episode 9, entitled "Why Did You Have to Take Your Pants Off?! (1)," the remaining teams are in Lijiang, China, where they are met with a Roadblock that requires one team member to perform a traditional Chinese medicine treatment on their legs. With the help of a local practitioner, the team member must use a vacuum cupping technique that leaves distinctive, circular bruises on their legs.

As the teams continue on, they encounter a Detour that involves either assembling a traditional Chinese puzzle or taking part in a traditional tea ceremony. Most teams choose the puzzle, but one team opts for the tea ceremony, which proves to be more challenging than expected.

Meanwhile, tensions rise between two of the teams when one accuses the other of stealing their taxicab. The issue is resolved, but it sets the stage for a dramatic confrontation later in the episode.
