Ep 9. This Is Not Payback, This Is Karma

(Referred to as TAR) 'The Amazing Race' one of the longest-running reality television shows is back with a new season 32. Contestants from various backgrounds and relationships, race around the world completing tasks and challenges, vying for a grand prize of $1 million.

In this episode, named 'This Is Not Payback, This Is Karma' the teams are still in the Caribbean, specifically the island of Saint Lucia. The remaining five teams are hoping to make it to the final leg before facing elimination. The episode starts off with the teams heading down to Soufriere to participate in a 'Carry It' Roadblock. The team member who hasn't performed more than six tasks must carry a basket filled with different tropical fruits and freshwater to a specific location, and trade it for a truckload of bread. They then bring the bread back to their team members to make sandwiches and sell them at a local market. The tricky part of this task is to figure out which way to go to find the market as they are unfamiliar with the area.

Once they have sold enough sandwiches, they receive their next clue, which sends them to Gros Islet. Here, they are introduced to the 'Get Hooked' challenge, which involves snorkeling in shallow waters in search of a small chain attached to a buoy. After unlocking the chain, they must return to the beach, find a clue bottle, and then proceed to the Pitstop at Pigeon Island National Park.

The highlight of this episode is when the remaining teams make it to the Pitstop. The first team to step on the mat is given a prize of luxury massages from across the globe at one of the world-class spas located on Saint Lucia Island. The runners-up receive a hearty breakfast, courtesy of Saint Lucian chefs, where they get to indulge in creole-style breakfasts and bottomless mimosas while overlooking breathtaking views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea.

The Amazing Race season 32 episode 9 will test the physical and emotional strength of the remaining five teams as they race across Saint Lucia to try and make it to the final destination and avoid elimination. The challenges set to slow down the teams is likely to bring out a lot of panicking and nerves. As they find themselves trying to find their way around the Caribbean Island, they will have to work together to successfully complete tasks and challenges to avoid elimination. Ultimately, the team that can keep calm under pressure, communicate efficiently, and use their skills and knowledge wisely will be the ones that will have what it takes to walk away with a cool $1 million.
