In season 5, episode 4 of The Amazing Race, titled "Who Says Pageant Girls Don't Eat?", the remaining teams continue their race around the world, traveling from Uruguay to Argentina.
The episode kicks off with a Roadblock challenge, where one team member must eat a traditional Argentinean delicacy: cow brains. Most teams struggle with the off-putting smell and texture, but some manage to power through and complete the challenge quickly.
Next, the teams travel to a local cattle ranch, where they must herd a group of cows into a pen using only a flag. This proves difficult for some teams, who struggle to corral the animals in the right direction.
After completing the ranch task, the teams make their way to the bustling city of Buenos Aires. Here, they must choose between two Detour options: Tango or Trampoline. The Tango task requires teams to learn and perform a traditional Argentinean tango routine in front of a group of judges. The Trampoline task, on the other hand, requires teams to complete a series of aerial acrobatic stunts on a trampoline.
Most teams opt for the Tango challenge, as it seems less physically demanding than the trampoline task. However, a few teams struggle with the dance routine and end up switching to the trampoline challenge instead.
As the teams make their way through Buenos Aires, tensions run high and alliances begin to crumble. Some teams are struggling to keep up with the pack, while others focus solely on their own race and refuse to help their competitors.
Finally, the teams make their way to the Pit Stop at the famous Recoleta Cemetery. One team is unexpectedly eliminated, while another team manages to snag the first-place finish and a much-needed prize.
Overall, "Who Says Pageant Girls Don't Eat?" is a thrilling and intense episode of The Amazing Race, full of challenges, drama, and unexpected twists and turns.
