In The Amazing Race season 6 episode 3, titled "Counting Bears Is Not Rocket Science," the teams continued their journey across the continent of Africa, this time making their way to Tanzania.
The episode began with teams departing from their previous location in Malawi and heading to the airport to catch a flight to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Once there, they made their way to the ferry terminal and boarded a ferry to Zanzibar.
Upon arriving on the beautiful island of Zanzibar, teams were tasked with finding a specific spice shop in the bustling Stone Town area. After locating the shop, they were given a Detour: "Build It" or "Buggy It."
For "Build It," teams had to assemble a traditional Zanzibar door and frame, using only their memory as a guide. For "Buggy It," teams had to navigate a dune buggy through a challenging off-road course.
After completing the Detour, teams made their way to a local market where they were given their next clue: a Roadblock that involved counting a large number of stuffed animals, including elephants, giraffes, and of course, bears.
Teams had to count all the animals correctly, then present their answer to a judge before receiving their next clue. This proved to be a challenge for some teams, as the sheer number of toys to count, combined with the noise and chaos of the busy market, made it difficult for them to concentrate.
From there, teams made their way to the Pit Stop at a beautiful beach resort on the island, where they checked in with host Phil Keoghan to find out their standings in the race so far.
As always, tensions were high as teams jostled for position in the competition. Some teams found the challenges particularly difficult, while others excelled and gained an advantage over their rivals. But in the end, only one team could emerge victorious and move on to the next leg of the journey.
Overall, "Counting Bears Is Not Rocket Science" was a thrilling episode full of excitement, drama, and unexpected twists and turns. It showcased the stunning beauty and unique culture of Zanzibar, while also putting the teams' skills and endurance to the test. Fans of The Amazing Race were no doubt left on the edge of their seats, eagerly anticipating the next episode in this exciting season.
