The Amazing Spiez! is a cartoon show that follows the adventures of four siblings, Lee, Megan, Marc and Tony, who are all spies and agents for the World Organization of Human Protection, also known as WOOHP. In this particular episode, Operation Twins Of Trouble : Part I, the siblings are sent on a mission to investigate a strange occurrence at a hospital in Japan.
The episode begins with the siblings receiving their mission brief from their boss, Jerry, who informs them that they have received reports of multiple break-ins at a hospital in Tokyo. The security footage from the hospital shows two identical twin sisters stealing medical equipment and supplies, but it is unclear why they are doing so. Jerry tasks the Spiez with investigating the incident and finding out what the twins are up to.
Upon arrival in Tokyo, the Spiez quickly get to work, splitting up into pairs to gather information. Lee and Megan pose as hospital interns, while Marc and Tony disguise themselves as delivery men to get their hands on the stolen medical equipment. Their investigations lead them to discover that the twins' break-ins are part of a much larger scheme; they are actually working for a mad scientist who is using the stolen equipment to create a dangerous virus that could potentially wipe out half of the world's population.
As the Spiez delve deeper into the case, they come up against a number of obstacles. They are frequently thwarted by the twins, who seem to be one step ahead of them at every turn. The siblings also struggle to keep their cover identities intact, with Lee and Megan almost blowing their cover when they accidentally inject themselves with a truth serum. To make matters worse, they soon realize that the scientist behind the virus is none other than their old enemy, Terrence.
Despite these setbacks, the Spiez remain determined to stop Terrence's plan and save the world from the deadly virus. However, their mission becomes even more dangerous when they realize that they are not the only ones after the twins. A jaded MI6 agent named Agent X has also been sent to Tokyo to take down the twins, and he proves to be a formidable opponent for the Spiez.
As the episode comes to a close, the Spiez find themselves in a race against time to stop Terrence and Agent X from getting their hands on the virus. With the twins' help, they manage to snatch the virus vials from under Terrence's nose, but in their haste, they accidentally break one of the vials. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as the Spiez realize that they only have a few hours to find a cure for the virus before it spreads and kills millions of people.
