The American Bible Challenge season 1 episode 8, titled "Episode 8", aired on May 24, 2012, on the Game Show Network. In this episode, the three teams of contestants compete for a chance to win $20,000 for their designated charity. The teams include "The Bible Belles" from Nashville, Tennessee; "The Jersey Girls" from Voorhees, New Jersey; and "The Timothy's" from Culpeper, Virginia.
As always, host Jeff Foxworthy starts the show off with a few jokes and a warm welcome to the teams. They begin with the Rapid Fire round, where Jeff gives a category and each team must give a Bible-related answer. The team with the most correct answers wins the round and $1,000 for their charity.
Next is the Scripture Challege round, where Jeff reads a verse from the Bible and the teams must buzz in and finish it. If they answer correctly, they receive points, but if they answer incorrectly, the other teams have a chance to buzz in and steal the points. The round ends with a bonus question worth double the points.
The teams then move on to the Lightning Round, which is a speed round where each team must answer as many Bible-related questions as possible in 60 seconds. The team with the most points at the end of the round wins an additional $2,500 for their charity.
After a commercial break, the teams return for the final round, the Ultimate Challenge. This round is a physical challenge where each team must complete a task related to a Bible story. The team that finishes the task first wins the Ultimate Challenge and an additional $5,000 for their charity.
Throughout the episode, there are also several special segments including "Bible Trivia with the Audience", where Jeff quizzes the studio audience on Bible facts and "Meet the Challengers", where the contestants share a little bit about themselves and their charities.
