In The Baby-Sitters Club season 1 episode 10, the club finds themselves in a bit of a predicament when multiple clients request male babysitters. As their usual male go-to babysitter, Logan, is unavailable, they start recruiting new sitters from Stoneybrook Middle School.
The club's newest recruit, Ben, initially shows little enthusiasm for babysitting and would rather be playing basketball with his friends. However, after the girls convince him to give it a try, he starts taking his responsibilities seriously and becomes invested in working with the children he is entrusted with.
Meanwhile, Mary Anne has her hands full with client Wanda's three rambunctious children. After discovering that the baby has a serious allergy and realizing that Wanda wasn't fully upfront about this information, Mary Anne learns an important lesson about communication and how crucial it is to share any important details with babysitters before leaving them in charge.
Stacey, on the other hand, finds herself dealing with a spoiled and entitled child named Buddy whom she begins to suspect is acting out because of his parents' neglectful behavior. When she tries to reach out to them to discuss her concerns, they dismiss her and leave her feeling helpless.
Kristy, who is tasked with watching A.J. (who she had previously been wary of because of his notorious bad behavior), is pleasantly surprised to find that he is a sweet and engaging child who only needs a little structure and discipline to behave well.
As the boys begin to prove themselves as capable babysitters just like the girls, the episode ends with the Baby-Sitters Club adding them to their official roster.
