Ep 1. Pilot

The Cape season 1 episode 1, named Pilot, introduces us to Vince Faraday, a former police officer and father who has been framed for a crime he did not commit. Vince's world crumbles around him when he is wrongly accused of being a mastermind criminal Chess who has been terrorizing the city of Palm City along with other villains.

After being presumed dead, Vince decides to take on a new identity, The Cape, to clear his name and protect his family from the dangers of Chess and the other villains he intends to stop. In his journey, he teams up with a group of circus performers who become his accomplices in fighting crime.

As Vince transforms into The Cape, he learns how to use his new superhero powers, including his cape, which he uses as a weapon, and to glide through the air. His new allies help him to hone his training in hand-to-hand combat, acrobatics, and detective work.

Meanwhile, we see the villainous Chess involved with Peter Fleming, the CEO of the biggest company in Palm City, ARK Corporation. Chess and Fleming are at the helm of a secret society called "The Corporation," aiming to control the city with their powers. The introduction of the detective Marty Voyt, who has been investigating the crime scene to find clues to track down Chess, creates a dramatic conflict between the good and evil forces.

The Pilot episode sets the groundwork for the series, with several subplots and intriguing characters that will play significant roles in the future episodes of the series. We see Vince's wife and son's struggle to come to terms with his supposed death and the realization that his son has already begun to idolize The Cape, unknowingly following in his father's footsteps.

The Cape's first encounter with Chess sets the stage for a prolonged fight and chase sequence, further intensifying the action as the two engage in their relentless pursuit to come out on top of each other.
