In season 7 episode 2 of The Daytripper, viewers are taken on a journey to the charming small town of Granbury, TX. Located just a short drive southwest of Dallas-Fort Worth, Granbury offers a picturesque escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Host Chet Garner explores all that Granbury has to offer, starting with the town square. Lined with historic buildings and unique shops, the square is the perfect place to spend a day browsing and soaking up the town's ambiance. Chet stops by Oh My! Cheesecakes for a sweet treat before heading to Vintage Grill and Car Museum for lunch. This nostalgic eatery serves up classic American fare and boasts an impressive collection of vintage cars.

After lunch, Chet takes a scenic drive to Lake Granbury, where he meets up with Captain Steve McCadams for a fishing expedition. The lake, which covers over 8,000 acres, is a popular spot for bass fishing, and Chet is eager to try his luck.

Back in town, Chet visits the Granbury Opera House, a stunning 19th-century theater that has been restored to its former glory. He also stops by the Hood County Jail Museum, which once housed notorious outlaws such as John Wesley Hardin and features exhibits on the history of law enforcement in the area.

No trip to Granbury would be complete without a visit to the Brazos Drive-In Theater, one of the few remaining drive-in theaters in the state. Chet settles in for a classic movie experience before wrapping up his day in Granbury.

Throughout the episode, Chet showcases the small-town charm and hospitality that makes Granbury a must-visit destination. From delicious food and outdoor adventures to history and entertainment, Granbury offers something for everyone.
