Barry Allen continues his superhero training under the watchful eye of Dr. Harrison Wells and his team at S.T.A.R. Labs. As Barry becomes more comfortable with his newfound abilities, he decides to take on a new foe: Tony Woodward, a petty criminal with the ability to transform his skin into metal.
Meanwhile, Iris West, Barry's childhood friend and secret crush, starts a blog to document the sightings of the mysterious "Streak"--Barry's alter ego. She manages to get an exclusive interview with him, but Barry is hesitant to reveal his true identity.
As Barry and Tony clash in a public brawl, capturing the attention of the media and the city's citizens, another villain emerges: Farooq Gibran, who had been affected by the same particle accelerator accident that gave Barry his superpowers. Gibran has absorbed electricity, and is now able to shoot bolts of lightning from his fingertips.
Barry faces a tough decision as he grapples with how the people around him will be affected by his superhero status. In the end, he must put his own fears aside and confront both Tony and Farooq while maintaining his secret identity.
"The Flash is Born" is an exciting episode that illustrates the challenges Barry must face as he learns to use his powers for good, while also balancing his personal life. As always, the episode is filled with action-packed fight scenes and plenty of suspenseful moments to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
