Ep 13. Cruel and Unusual

The Fosters season 4 episode 13, titled "Cruel and Unusual," opens with the aftermath of a juvenile detention center protest that Callie and other students participated in. As a result, Callie and two other students have been arrested and are being held in a juvenile detention center. Their parents and the rest of the Foster family are worried and upset because they are not allowed to visit or talk to the teens.

In an effort to free their daughter, Stef and Lena decide to meet with the judge who is responsible for the case, but things don't go as planned. He tries to talk to Stef about his feelings, but Stef is too busy with Callie's situation to pay attention to him.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise, and the Foster family is faced with some tough decisions. Stef, Lena, and the other parents decide to take matters into their own hands and organize another protest. They hope to draw attention to the unfair treatment of the teens in the detention center and put pressure on the judge to release them.
