Ep 6. Recipe For Death II: Kiss The Cook

In "Recipe For Death II: Kiss The Cook," the sixth episode of season 4 of The Goldbergs, Beverly is determined to prove to everyone that she's still got it in the kitchen. When Murray becomes ill, Beverly sees it as an opportunity to show that she can take care of him and whip up some of her famous chicken soup. However, her plans are derailed when Adam and his friends accidentally eat some of the soup meant for Murray, which was laced with some interesting ingredients.

Meanwhile, Barry decides to take a break from his relationship with Lainey and starts dating a new girl named Ren. Erica tries to convince Barry that what he really wants is to be back with Lainey, but he insists that he's moved on. However, when Lainey starts dating someone else, Barry realizes that maybe Erica was right all along.

As Beverly and Adam try to track down the mysterious ingredient in the soup that caused the boys to act so strangely, Barry struggles to deal with his feelings for Lainey and his new relationship with Ren. Will Beverly be able to redeem herself in the kitchen and save Murray, and will Barry be able to figure out what he really wants when it comes to love?
