Ep 23. Pretty In Pink

Adam Goldberg, a 1980s high school student, isn't your average teenager. He's a budding filmmaker with dreams of one day becoming a director, and he's decided to use his family as the subjects of his latest project. But when his mom Beverly discovers that Adam has been filming her without her knowledge, she's not too happy about it.

Meanwhile, Adam's sister Erica has her own problems to deal with. She's just been asked to the prom by a boy she's been crushing on for years, but she's not sure if she wants to go. With the help of her best friend, Lainey, Erica tries on several different prom dresses, finally settling on a stunning pink number that's sure to turn heads.

As the prom approaches, Adam becomes increasingly obsessed with making his film perfect. But when he realizes that his family is starting to feel uncomfortable with all the attention, he decides to call it quits. Erica, on the other hand, starts to get cold feet about going to the prom and nearly backs out at the last minute. But with some encouragement from Lainey, she eventually decides to take the plunge and attend the dance.

The night of the prom is an eventful one for both Adam and Erica. Adam manages to salvage his film project by convincing his family to participate in a staged scene, while Erica has a blast dancing the night away with her crush. But when Adam accidentally spills a drink on Erica's dress, she's devastated. Luckily, her knight in shining armor comes to the rescue, and the two share a magical moment outside as the sun comes up.

As the episode comes to a close, Adam finishes his film project and presents it to his family. They're surprised and touched by the final product, and Adam finally realizes that sometimes the best moments in life can't be captured on film. Meanwhile, Erica and her crush share a bittersweet moment as they say goodbye for the summer. Will they ever see each other again? Only time will tell…
