The Goldbergs Season 8 Episode 20 Poker Night

Adam turns to his grandfather in this episode of The Goldbergs as he looks for some guidance on the right way to continue sitting down with his dad and the rest of the family during their weekly poker night. Adam's grandfather helps him to understand the different ways that individuals can approach playing the game, and together they dive into some of the different strategies that can be used to win and have a good time while doing so.

Meanwhile, Erica tries to convince Barry to stop dating someone she insists is wrong for him. Barry is reluctant to take Erica's advice, but as she explains the reasoning behind her concerns, he begins to see the merit in what she is saying. Ultimately, Barry breaks things off with his girlfriend, though he struggles to move on from his feelings for her, leaving him feeling conflicted and unsure about where to go next.

Elsewhere, Beverly tries to distract herself from her recent breakup by throwing herself into her work. She dives into a new project that she's been putting off for months, but soon finds herself getting in over her head as she tries to accomplish too much at once. With the help of her friends and family, however, Beverly is able to take a step back and re-evaluate her priorities, and she ultimately learns how to balance her work with her personal life.

Finally, Murray tries to get back in touch with his inner child by building a massive Lego tower in the living room. While he's initially skeptical of this idea, he soon finds himself getting lost in the creativity and imagination of the task, and he discovers a new passion he never knew he had. Together, the Goldbergs learn that they can continue to grow and find joy in their lives, no matter what challenges they may face along the way.
