Ep 3. Oliver

Oliver is the third episode of the first season of The Good Doctor. In this episode, Dr. Shaun Murphy is given his first solo surgery by Dr. Melendez, and his patient is a young boy named Oliver who has a rare congenital heart defect.

Dr. Murphy is excited to have the opportunity to perform the surgery, but he is faced with ethical and personal dilemmas when Oliver's parents refuse any blood transfusions, which could potentially put their son's life at risk. Throughout the episode, the tension builds as Dr. Murphy tries to navigate the ethical and emotional complexities of the surgery, while also dealing with the personal demons from his past.

Ultimately, Dr. Murphy successfully completes the surgery, but not without facing difficult moral and emotional decisions along the way. The episode ends with Dr. Murphy reflecting on his experiences and the lessons he has learned, setting the stage for future episodes of the series.
