In "Affidavit Justice," the sixth episode of the sixth season of The King of Queens, Doug and Carrie are hit with a lawsuit by their neighbor Lou Ferrigno (played by himself) after Carrie accidentally hits him with a car door. Lou initially seems forgiving, but when he finds out that Carrie told her friend Deacon about the incident and Deacon told the whole neighborhood, he feels humiliated and betrayed. He hires a lawyer and serves Doug and Carrie with a subpoena.

Doug and Carrie are nervous about going to court and try to come up with a strategy for winning the case. Doug suggests that they should get their own lawyer, but Carrie insists that they can handle it themselves. She cites an incident from her childhood where her father (played by Jerry Stiller) successfully defended himself in court. She decides to use the same strategy her father used and create a phony affidavit stating that Lou hit her with his car.

Meanwhile, Arthur meets a new friend at the senior center named Trevor (played by Danny Woodburn). Trevor is a regular at the center and has a reputation for being a prankster. He convinces Arthur to help him pull off a prank on the center's director by pretending to be a millionaire who wants to donate money. Arthur gets caught up in the prank and ends up donating his own money to the center.

Back at home, Doug and Carrie are struggling to come up with the details for their phony affidavit. They decide that Carrie will claim that Lou hit her in the right arm, but they can't agree on what to say about the car. Doug says they should claim it was a red Corvette, but Carrie insists it was a blue Corvette. They decide to flip a coin to settle the disagreement, but it lands on its edge and they still can't decide.

At court, Doug and Carrie present their case to the judge and jury. Carrie testifies that Lou hit her in the arm and that she has been suffering from chronic pain ever since. Doug tries to back her up with evidence, but the judge is skeptical. The prosecutor cross-examines Carrie and reveals that she has a history of exaggerating her injuries in order to get sympathy. He also produces a witness who saw the incident and confirms that Carrie hit Lou with the car door, not the other way around.

The case falls apart for Doug and Carrie and they are found guilty. Lou drops the lawsuit but demands an apology from Carrie. She reluctantly agrees and apologizes for spreading the story around the neighborhood. Lou forgives her and offers her a job as his personal assistant, which she accepts.

In the end, Arthur and Trevor's prank goes awry when the director of the senior center discovers the truth. Arthur feels embarrassed and betrayed, but Trevor convinces him to keep the prankster tradition alive and promises to come up with an even better prank next time.

"Affidavit Justice" is a classic episode of The King of Queens that showcases the show's trademark mix of humor and heart. The subplot involving Arthur and Trevor provides a welcome break from the legal drama and adds a layer of whimsy to the episode. Fans of the show will appreciate the witty dialogue and the clever plot twists that make this episode a standout in the series.
