In the second episode of The Last O.G. season 1, titled "Bobo Beans," we see Tray trying to make his way in the new world he finds himself in after being released from prison. Tray is living in a halfway house in Brooklyn and is trying to get his life back on track. He is working at a coffee shop, but is struggling to adjust to life outside of prison.

The episode starts with Tray trying to make breakfast with the limited resources he has in the halfway house. He decides to make a dish with some Bobo Beans, which he finds in the food cupboard. He tries to cook them, but they end up burning, causing the alarm to go off and waking up the other residents. Tray is embarrassed and frustrated that he can't even cook a simple meal.

Next, we see Tray at work at the coffee shop, where he meets a woman named Shay. Shay is a regular customer and immediately catches Tray's eye. They strike up a conversation and Tray feels a connection with her. However, he soon realizes that Shay is not interested in him in that way. She is actually a lesbian and is in a relationship with a woman named Malia.

Tray is disappointed, but he decides to still be friendly with Shay and asks her to come to his improv show that night. Tray has been taking improv classes as a way to cope with life after prison and hopes that he can make people laugh. However, his improv team is not very good and their performance is a disaster. Tray is humiliated and feels like a failure.

Later that night, Tray goes to a bar with his friend, Bobby, to drown his sorrows. They run into Shay and Malia at the bar, and Tray is surprised to find out that Malia is a big fan of his improv work. She convinces Tray to give improv another try and inspires him to keep going.

The episode ends with Tray feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time. He realizes that he may never be able to cook Bobo Beans, but he can still pursue his passions and better himself. With the support of his friends and the newfound inspiration from Malia, Tray is determined to make a new life for himself outside of prison.

Overall, "Bobo Beans" is a poignant episode of The Last O.G. that explores Tray's struggles to adjust to life after prison. It highlights the challenges that many ex-convicts face when trying to re-enter society and offers a glimmer of hope for those who are determined to turn their lives around.
