Ep 4. The Voice in the Night

In The Legend of Korra season 1 episode 4 titled The Voice in the Night, Korra is plagued by recurring nightmares about Amon, the charismatic leader of the anti-bending Equalists. Meanwhile, the Wolfbats, led by the arrogant and obnoxious Captain Shiro Shinobi, make their presence felt as they participate in the Pro-bending tournament. They easily win their first match against a weaker team, but their conduct on the field draws the ire of Mako, who despises them for using dirty tactics to gain an edge. Bolin, on the other hand, is star-struck by their fame and fortune, leading to a rift between the brothers.

As the tournament progresses, the Wolfbats continue to dominate their opponents, and their antics on and off the field continue to cause problems for Team Avatar. However, Korra's nightmares keep getting worse, causing her to lash out at those closest to her. She even confronts Tarrlok, the councilman who seems to be working against her interests, demanding to know his true intentions.

When the Wolfbats reach the final match of the tournament, Korra's fears about Amon coming to fruition. His masked henchmen infiltrate the championship arena, causing chaos and confusion among the spectators. In the middle of the pandemonium, Korra hears a voice whispering her name, leading her to believe that Amon is moments away from revealing himself.

The Voice in the Night is a gripping episode that explores Korra's doubts and insecurities about her destiny while raising the stakes in the battle against the Equalists. The arrival of the Wolfbats adds a new layer of complexity to the story, setting the stage for a confrontation that could have dire consequences. The episode is filled with fast-paced action, tense moments, and sharp writing that moves the plot forward while deepening the relationships between the characters. Overall, it's an excellent addition to the first season of The Legend of Korra.
