Mick Dodge is back with another exciting episode in season 1 of The Legend of Mick Dodge. In episode 2, titled Trading Up, Mick shows us how he lives his life free from the demands of modern society.

The episode starts with Mick waking up in his hand-built cabin in the Olympic Mountains of Washington State. He starts his day with a cup of tea and a meditation session. He then gets ready for a trade day, which is a weekly event that takes place in the nearby town of Forks. Mick does not have any money, so he has to rely on trading his skills and bartering for the goods he needs.

As Mick walks down the mountain, he shows us the beautiful scenery and shares his philosophy on life. He believes that people need to reconnect with nature and live a life free from the rat race. Mick gets to the trade day and starts to look for items he needs, starting with a pair of shoes. He spots a vendor selling used shoes and approaches him to see if he has any that would fit him. The vendor agrees to trade the shoes for a hand-carved wooden owl that Mick made.

Mick then spots a vendor selling honey and starts to barter for a jar. He offers a handmade walking stick, but the vendor is not interested. Mick sees an opportunity and instead offers to teach the vendor how to make his own walking stick using a tree branch. The vendor agrees, and they make the trade. Mick sells his handmade walking sticks as a way to sustain himself in the wilderness.

Mick then goes to a vendor selling vegetables and offers to trade a basket he made from tree bark for some carrots and potatoes. The vendor agrees, and Mick is able to secure some much-needed food for himself.

After a successful trade day, Mick heads back up the mountain. On his way, he stops and shows us how he collects water from the nearby streams and how he uses a homemade water filter to make it safe to drink. He arrives back at his cabin and starts cooking a meal with his newly acquired vegetables.

As Mick sits by the fire and eats his meal, he reflects on the day and how he was able to survive without any money. He talks about how people are too reliant on money and forget that there are other ways to live. He encourages people to try bartering or trading for goods instead of always relying on money.

The episode ends with Mick sitting under the stars, enjoying the peace and quiet of the wilderness. He reminds us that we need to take care of nature, and in return, it will take care of us.

Overall, Trading Up is an excellent episode that gives us a glimpse into Mick Dodge's unique way of living. It shows us that there are other ways to live beyond the rat race, and we can learn a lot from nature if we take the time to listen. The episode is a must-watch for anyone interested in alternative lifestyles and living off the grid.
