Liberace was a very famous pianist with a very flamboyant style. Liberace was also a well known and popular figure in the 1950s and 1960s. He made his mark in playing the piano, singing, recording, acting, and on a very popular television show. The Liberace Show debuted on television in 1952 and ended its run in 1955.

The Liberace Show was a fifteen minute performance by the star of the show before a live audience. During the show the star would talk to the camera, sing, and play the piano. He often wore outrageous outfits, jewels, and furs. The Liberace Show was directly syndicated to numerous local stations around the country. His very flamboyant style gained instant popularity with viewers around the country. It is reported that Liberace made several million dollars from the syndicated Liberace Show.
