Ep 1. And the Crown of King Arthur

In The Librarians, season 1 episode 1, titled "And the Crown of King Arthur," viewers are introduced to a group of individuals who work for an ancient organization known as the Library. The Library, hidden from the public eye, contains magical artifacts from throughout history that must be kept safe from those who would use them for evil.

The show opens with a thief named Flynn Carson (Noah Wyle) breaking into the Library to steal a map. However, instead of arresting him, the Library decides to make him their newest librarian. Flynn soon learns that the Library has existed for centuries, and that there is an entire group of librarians who are tasked with protecting the world from dangerous magical artifacts.

Flynn is quickly introduced to three other librarians: Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), a counterterrorism expert who serves as their guardian; Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth), a mathematician with synesthesia who can remember everything she has ever read; and Ezekiel Jones (John Harlan Kim), a master thief who uses his skills to help the team.

Their first mission together is to retrieve the Crown of King Arthur, which has been stolen by a group of faeries. The team travels to Cornwall, England, where they meet a Resistance fighter named Lamia (Lesley-Ann Brandt), who has been fighting against the faeries for years. Lamia agrees to help the team retrieve the crown, but only if they also take down the faerie leader, Mordred (Anthony Head).

As the team works to retrieve the crown and take down Mordred, they face a number of obstacles and challenges. To make matters worse, they soon discover that Lamia may not be entirely trustworthy.

With plenty of action, adventure, and humor, "And the Crown of King Arthur" is a solid start to The Librarians series. Viewers are sure to enjoy the colorful characters, quirky plot, and epic stakes that set the tone for the rest of the season.
