Ep 22. Mother's Day

It's Mother's Day and the Heck siblings are frantically searching for a gift for their mom, Frankie. Meanwhile, she is trying to keep her own mother, Pat, at bay, as Pat always brings stress whenever she's around. Frankie's husband, Mike, surprises her with tickets to see "Everybody Loves Raymond" being taped live in Hollywood, and the rest of the family decides to tag along for the trip.

But things go awry when an overnight storm leaves them stranded in a small town, and they all end up spending the night in a less-than-luxurious motel. As tensions rise and everyone begins to turn on each other, Frankie is reminded of the importance of family and reflects on how much she loves them all, even on the most frustrating of days.

Meanwhile, back at home, Pat surprises Frankie's daughter, Sue, with a new cell phone, leading Sue to question whether her grandma understands technology better than she does. And youngest son, Brick, struggles to think of a gift for his mom, eventually settling on planting a tree, which he has to make sure survives the night without any care.

In the end, the family all comes together to celebrate Mother's Day with a heartfelt breakfast in bed for Frankie, proving that even though they may drive each other crazy, they still love each other deeply.
