Ep 7. Playdate With Destiny

Christine is a divorced mother of a young son, Ritchie, and a successful businesswoman. In this episode, Christine is excited to have a playdate with her new friend, Barb, and Barb's son, Ritchie's classmate, but things take a turn when Barb reveals her true intentions for the playdate.

As Christine prepares for the playdate, she realizes that she doesn't have any balls for her son's newly purchased basketball hoop. She asks her ex-husband, Richard, to bring over some balls, but he is hesitant to come to her house. Christine then asks her brother, Matthew, to bring over some balls, but he mistakenly brings golf balls instead.

Meanwhile, Barb arrives with her son and Christine is thrilled to have a new friend. However, Barb quickly reveals that she has more than just a playdate in mind. She is interested in selling her handmade jewelry and wants Christine to host a jewelry party for her friends. Christine is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees to host the party.

As the playdate continues, Christine notices that Barb is being overly critical of her son and even insults Ritchie's artwork. Christine becomes increasingly uncomfortable with Barb's behavior and realizes that she doesn't want to be friends with her anymore.

Later, Christine confides in her best friend, Wanda, about the situation and Wanda suggests that they confront Barb together. The two women go to Barb's house and tell her that they don't want to be a part of her jewelry-selling scheme and that they are uncomfortable with the way she treats her son.

Barb initially becomes defensive, but eventually apologizes for her behavior and agrees to focus on building a genuine friendship with Christine. The episode ends with Christine and Ritchie happily playing basketball with the golf balls that Matthew brought over.
